FFVII ~ 7 minutes in Heaven: Loz

“Umm...six?”
You say shyly. Your face flushes red when everyone looks at you, and then a guy with short silver hair stands up. He walks into the closet and then you stand up and follow him, only to feel a hand on your shoulder. You turn quickly to see another silver haired boy glaring down at you. You look at him and say timidly,
“C-can I help you?”

“Yes you can.” He replies, a small grin gracing his lips. He points his finger to another silver haired boy sat a little away – though this boy's hair is extremely long, just like Sephiroth's – and says quietly, “I'm having a bet with Yazoo. Now all you have to do so that I win, is make out with Loz. Not too hard is it?”
Your face flushes again and you stutter to him quietly,
“I-I-I don't want to-”
“Oh you will. I have a lot of materia on this bet, and if I don't win, well...”
Your stomach turns as you see his pupils flicker between his normal eyes, and long snake-slits.
He pushes you towards the closet door and whispers in your ear, “Don't make me hurt you.”
Your eyes widen, but it's too late to react because you're already tripping over the doorway into the closet.
You fall and land on the wooden floor, then sit up and rub your wrists, muttering. “Ouch...”
Before you get a chance to spot where the silver-haired guy named 'Loz' is, the door is shut and the lights go out. You can't see an inch in front of your face, but to be honest, it's a good thing in your eyes because if you can't see anything, neither can the other occupant of the closet.
You, being the shy person you are, have always had trouble talking with guys, and this is no exception.
You sit on the floor in silence, not liking the uncomfortable feeling in the air, but putting up with it.
Just then, a low, gentle voice calls out,
“So...what's your name?”
You look to where you'd heard the voice, but still don't see anything.
“I-I'm ____.” You answer, blushing.
You know that your pulse has already started to race insanely – to be honest you don't even know why you're so shy; you tell yourself you're confident, and you feel it, but then it all plummets when you start talking and anyone looks at you, and then you get embarrassed and your face flushes red, and then more people look and you get more embarrassed. You're just unlucky like that.
Loz doesn't speak again, so neither do you, and it goes silent again. You sit there, your arms wrapped around your knees, your head resting against the wall, listening to the noises outside. You remember what that other silver-haired boy had said to you outside the closet, and you shiver. As shy as you are, you would probably have kissed Loz the second you had gotten in the closet, had you thought it would have saved you from whatever fate awaited you with the silver-haired boy outside...the problem was, if you had kissed Loz, then it would just be the other boy who would be on your back instead, and anyway, this is your first kiss, so there's no point wasting it on someone if it's not going to help you.
You suddenly snap your head round when you hear movement. You can tell Loz is moving around the closet. You drop your head on your knees and try your best to ignore him, but you can tell he's getting closer to you. You can hear him crawling across the wooden floor-boards, and then a quick stumble, followed by a “sh*t...”, a little more movement and then a hand connects with the wall just to the side of your head. It quickly moves though, heading up the wall. You know that if the lights were on, you'd probably be seeing Loz's middle-region in front of your face right about now. You close your eyes, trying to ignore the fact. You wonder what he's doing because you can hear his hand sliding around just over your head.
Suddenly there's a 'click'
The lights switch on and you see Loz's leather-covered chest about an inch away from your face. You blush furiously and put your hands over your head.
Loz looks down and says in a surprised tone,
“Oh, hi there.” and then he leans back from the wall so he can lower himself to the ground. He ends up kneeling just in front of you, his face level with yours. He sees your cherry-red face and smirks.
“How cute.”
Your eyes widen and you bury your head in your knees, trying to hide your face along with the small smile on your lips. No one has ever called your face turning red 'cute' before.
You hear a thud on the ground and guess that Loz is actually sitting on the floor now. You look up so that your mouth is still covered by your arms and take a quick glance at Loz. He's looking back at you. You sit up fully and say, trying not to be rude,
“H-hello.”
He smirks at your attempt to be confident.
“Hi, ____~!” He says happily, the smirk still on his face. You give him a small smile, then look down at your knees again, already feeling your face turn red again. You hear Loz give a small chuckle. You start racking your brains to try and find something to say, but end up with nothing so you give out a loud sigh. Loz watches you curiously, then a little light-bulb goes off in his head. He scratches the side of his nose and asks you,
“Hey, do you want the lights off?”
“H-huh?” You say, looking up from your knees.
“Well, it's just, I figured you'd prefer it in the dark so, you know, it'd make it less awkward.” He says, pointing at your face, which was obviously red again. You laugh nervously and bury your head again, saying,
“Yes please.”
Loz stretches up again and flicks the light switch off, then he sits back on his heels again. You look up, ignoring the fact you can't see anything, and say,
“Thank you.”
“No problem.” Loz replies.
You relax and rest against the wall again, feeling much better than you had a few moments ago.
You close you eyes and smile to yourself, thinking about how kind Loz is being to you. He's definitely nothing like the other boy's you'd met. The ones that teased you and laughed at you.
You let out another sigh. A moment later and you hear Loz moving again. He ends up sitting next to you, in front of the door. You think to yourself,
'Calm down, ____. No need to get embarrassed. He's not doing anything to you, so just rela-' You feel Loz's arm slip behind your back, and then he pulls you towards him a little so that your head is resting on his shoulder.
It feels almost as if your face has erupted into flames. You give a very nervous laugh, and say – trying to break the tension,
“L-Loz, I'm amazed you can't feel the heat off my face, ha-ha.” But this only makes you blush further. Loz, on the other hand, replies with something you'd never expected.
“Let me see then...” There's a quick shuffle, and then you give out a small gasp as a pair of soft hands touch either of your cheeks. Guess what! You go even redder (if it's even possible).
“So...c-can you feel anything?” You say, really trying to concentrate on anything but the bare hands on your face and the boy staring at you.
Loz doesn't reply, but the hands don't move. You leave it a couple of seconds to see what happens, but when nothing does, you say,
“L-Loz? Umm... say somethin-...” You stop dead when you feel his breath fanning across your face. He seems to notice too because he lets out a small chuckle, and before you know it, Loz presses his lips against yours. And that's it. He just holds his lips to yours. Not trying to force you to do anything. Just holding his soft lips pressed against yours in a sweet little kiss. Your eyes grow wide and for a moment you even forget to breathe, but then Loz pulls away and it all comes rushing back to you.
With his hands still on your cheeks he says with a smile,
“Yeah, you're right, ____. You're really hot.”
You blush at the double meaning. Loz gives a small laugh, then says,
“It really is cute when you blush like that. You look so innocent.”
You give a small giggle.
You feel Loz's hands still resting on your cheeks, so you decide to muster up whatever confidence you have and lean forwards, catching Loz's lips lightly. He smiles at your feeble attempt and leans in so that your lips touch properly, but just like the first time he just leaves his lips against yours, not wanting to scare you away with anything too outgoing.
This kiss lasts longer, and when you pull away, you decide to rest your head on his shoulder.
Loz just-in-so rests his head atop of yours and wraps his hand around your own when there's a thud against the door. Someone yells,
“Move away from the door you two!” so the pair of you get up and scramble to the other side of the closet. You go to pull your hand from Loz's, but he entwines his fingers with yours so you leave it – only half dreading what colour your face will be when the others see you.
Just then the door opens. Yuffie is stood in the doorway with a camera. She looks at both of you and shrugs her shoulders.
“Meh, it'll do.” Then she snaps a picture of the two of you holding hands. Just as she pulls the picture from the camera, she is shoved to the side by the silver haired boys from before. Kadaj demands,
“What happened?”
Loz chuckles at his brothers, saying “Why do you want to know?”, totally oblivious to the bet, whilst you back away slightly. Yazoo crosses his arms and says,
“Well brother, what did you do?”
Loz frowns slightly, wondering why they are so curious to find out. He replies slowly,
“We kissed...”
The other two silver-haired boys turn to look at each other, and as they do, Loz pulls you forwards and out of the closet. The boys follow you and say,
“But did you make out?” Asks Yazoo. Kadaj on the other hand, says to Yazoo,
“Well they kissed! It counts! Now hand over the materia!”
“No, Kadaj, they have to have made out, that was the bet.”
“But-”
As the two brothers continue to argue, Loz turns to you and whispers,
“Did you know about the bet?”
You nod your head, turning slightly pink again. “But I was too-”
“Too nervous?” He chuckles. “I guessed as much.”
You give him a smile. As the two brothers turn to the pair of you again, Loz gives you a small wink. Kadaj asked,
“So did you make out?”
Loz replies with, “We kissed.”
Yazoo asks, “But did you actually make out?”
“We kissed.”
Yazoo smirks. “So you didn't really do anything?”
Loz rolls his eyes, playing his two brothers. “No. We. Kissed. What part of that don't you understand?”
Suddenly Kadaj rounds on you.
“Okay, ____, what happened in the closet? And be very careful about what you say.”
You look at him and start panicking. His eyes are flickering between forms again. You don't know what to say. Just then, Loz turns and calls,
“Sarah, a little assistance please.”
I pop up from behind one of the sofas and yell, “Sure!”
Before anyone knows what's going on, Kadaj is on the ground and I'm trying to hug the life out of him, planting kisses all over his face.
Loz turns to Yazoo and says,
“Nah, we didn't make out. This one was too shy.” He says, ruffling your hair. Yazoo grins.
“That's good to hear.” He looks at his whimpering brother on the floor, then back to Loz, “Though I think I'll wait a while to collect anything. I'm not getting involved in that.” He says, pointing at me.
Loz chuckles. “I don't blame you.”
Yazoo walks off so Loz turns back to you and smiles at the look on your face. “Hey, don't look so worried, ____.”
You look up at him and give him a warm smile. “I'm not, because I've got you!” Your face flushes again after realising what you had just said. You add quietly, “I-if you want... that is.”
Loz smiles and kisses you on the nose.
“Of course. I wouldn't want it any other way, cutie.”
And with that, the pair of you go and sit on the sofa together, where Yuffie manages to get a better picture of the two of you. You end up drifting off to sleep in his embrace.
