Theme 6 - False Threat {Lee x Tenten}

“Leaf hurricane!”

The earth in a mile radius trembled with the sheer power of the blow. As the ground began to calm itself, Lee stood to his fullest height and wiped his enormous brow. Looking at the cracked tree-stump in front of him he said; flames starting to burn in his eyes,

“Still it is not good enough to beat Naruto!” He pumped his fists, readying himself to try another attack on the defenceless tree-stump. It was only when Tenten appeared with her hands shielding her head that he faltered his stance.

“Ah, Tenten!” He threw his thumb up, grinning with a sparkle. “Have you come to cheer me on? And might I say what a fine outfit of youth you are wearing!”

She removed her hands and looked at him with her 'yeah right' expression, ignoring his last comment.

“No, Lee, I haven't.” She crossed her arms. The expression on her face changed to one of a murderous nature. Lee noticed and took a step back.

“Tenten, what is the mat-”

“It's 3 o'clock in the morning, Lee!” She yelled furiously. “Go to bed!”

Lee's jaw dropped.

“But Tenten- I must train to fight Naruto!”

The brunette folder her arms, tapping a slippered foot against the ground impatiently.

“Do you really think Naruto will be training at this time in the morning?”

“No but-”

“If he doesn't then neither should you!” Lee went to speak so Tenten said, her eyebrows furrowing, “If you don't stop training and go to bed right now, I'll never speak to you ever again!”

A simple threat in itself, but Tenten had a hunch it would do its work. As expected – even after a long moments pause from Lee – he gave in, sagging slightly. Tenten threw her arm up and pointed in the direction of his house. Obediently he trudged his way in the said direction.

As Lee left her sight, Tenten smiled. Of course what she had said had been a false threat; she loved Lee too much to never speak to him again-... but still, Tenten growled, he was going to pay at the next training session.

With this in mind, Tenten turned on her heel and made her way back to her own house, her bunny pyjamas floating about her in the light wind.
